SATHYALOK SCHOOL FOR THE SPECIAL CHILDREN

OBJECTIVES

Help and guide the differently abled children to live an independent life and also be useful to society.
Give minimum of 25% free eduction, Therapy and Treatment.
Admit children from the age of 5 to 14 years to train and educate them, so that they can be integrated into appropriate schools.
Admit children from the age of 14 to 18 years to train them in Pre vocational Skills, so that they can be placed in Vocational Units
Provide Education and Therapy under one-roof
Provide therapy and training not only to our school children but also to other required local village children on free of cost or at concessional rate.
Organize Parent’s Training Awareness programme, so that they can help their own children.
Organize Educational trips and tours to inculcate a sense of friendship, brotherhood and togetherness among the children.
Involve and train local village people to be part of the school and help them to help themselves

INFRASTRUCTURE

Education and Therapy under one roof- A Multi-Disciplinary Team Mobility Aids, Communications Aids, Feeding Aids. Special Education, Physical Education, Pre-Vocational Aids, Music, Drama, Yoga, Dance, Art and Movement Therapy
18 well-ventilated and fully furnished class rooms.
A Spacious fully-equipped physio-therapy center & Occupational therapy Unit.
Computer class room for children.
Library for differently abled children, teachers and parents
Well laid play ground for basket ball, Volley ball and shuttle cock.
A traffic park to teach the signs and signals
An open air auditorium the first of its kind in India, with a seating capacity for 500 persons is specially designed to suit the requirements of the challenged persons with ramp facilities and space for viewing from wheel chairs.
A mini-conference hall with a seating capacity for 100 persons is accessible for holding students’ get together as well as periodical Parent-Teachers Meet. Both these facilities are available for other institutions also working for the cause of the Challenged persons, for convening meetings, functions etc.,
A small warren of rabbits, a row of ducks marching, a cage of love birds and a run around puppy add value to the open-air therapy to the children.
Shady mango – grove and thick greenery all round on 12 acre land creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
